Dallas visits Green Bay on Sunday, October 18, with kickoff scheduled for 8:20 p.m. Eastern. The Packers' official preview places the game at Lambeau Field on Sunday Night Football.
The teams' previous regular-season meeting finished 40–40 in September 2025. That is a memorable backdrop, but it does not tell us how this game will unfold.
Three things to watch
Start with first down. An offense that regularly creates short second downs gives its quarterback more choices and makes the defense harder to disguise. Notice whether either side can sustain that advantage across several possessions.
Next, watch protection when an obvious passing down arrives. A clean pocket on third-and-long can matter more than a spectacular completion on an otherwise comfortable drive.
Finally, separate field position from offensive production. A short field after a turnover is valuable, but a scoring drive that begins deep in a team's own territory answers a different question about the offense.
