As of this October 18 review, the official Medicare cost page still lists the 2026 standard Part B premium of $202.90 a month. The 2026 Medicare Trustees Report estimates $209.50 for 2027. These numbers describe different things: one is a current rate and the other is a projection.
The report explicitly says Part B financing rates had been set only through December 31, 2026. We did not locate a final 2027 premium announcement in the official sources checked for this article.
Use an estimate without mistaking it for a bill
For temporary planning, write “projection” beside any future premium figure. Leave room to replace it when CMS publishes the final amount and your own benefit or premium notice arrives. A spreadsheet cell with a date and source is more useful than an undated number copied from a headline.
Your amount may differ
The standard premium is not everyone’s premium. Income-related adjustments, enrollment penalties and other individual circumstances can affect what someone pays. The Part B premium also does not replace a separate Medicare Advantage or prescription plan premium.
When your notice arrives, compare the new amount with your current deduction and recalculate your monthly total. Do not assume that a projection quoted in an article is the amount that will be withdrawn from your account.
